Fairtrade Chocolate

Chocolate for my breakfast
Chocolate for my tea
If anyone gives me chocolate
I will eat it, just you see

But my mum says I shouldn't be a pig
And tries very hard to explain
That the Farmers at Fairtrade work hard
While we have holidays in Spain

So the next time I eat chocolate
I think I'll remember what my mum said
And be grateful to those hard working farmers
As I go up to my warm bed.

Runners Up

Fair Chocolate

When you eat a piece of chocolate
You don't think how it's made
Don't think of all the benefits
If we all bought Fairtrade
So I am here to tell you,
What happens to your money,
When you've eaten a chocolate bar,
And feel it in your tummy.

The western world is oh so greedy,
The profits should go to the poor and needy,
That is what fairtrade is for,
To make sure the money goes to their door,
The farmers in a far off place,
Will all have smiles across their face,
Knowing the beans they sow,
With loving care will grow and grow.

The final thing I want to say,
Is remember who you want to pay,
And please remember the things I've said,
And keep it logged up in your head.

Chocolate

Don't start wasting money
On chocolate that's no good
Buy it with the name Divine
I'll tell you why you should.

With every Divine chocolate bought
You're helping children go to school
So if you buy one of these
Make it your golden rule!!!

Every child has a dream
Hidden in their soul,
So when you buy a divine bar,
You're helping children reach their goal.

In the region of Ghana
It actually costs to learn
By buying some of these chocolate bars,
You're letting others have their turn.
